Top 5 Arcs in Naruto Anime Series That You Should Watch

Naruto is a beloved anime. Some people don’t like it for some reason but, I personally love the series. Although if I am, to be honest, I never watched the first season of Naruto…. I don’t think I need to tell you why I didn’t watch it. That fact aside, Shippuden will always be one of my most favorite animes.

The first part of Naruto doesn’t even compare to Shippuden. Sure it set the stage and background for Shippuden but, it can’t match the fights, plot twists, and character development of Shippuden. It seriously does feel like Kishimoto saved all the good stuff for Shippuden but hey, not complaining. I personally love Naruto for its characters.

All that aside though, as you know both parts of Naruto are full of amazing arcs. I did not mean for it but it ended up being top 5 arcs in Naruto Shippuden. I just can’t help it. Shippuden is just that good. Well without any further ado, let’s get started with the list. Oh and also, spoiler warning for those who have not watched Naruto.

The Tale of Jiraiya the Gallant

I had to include this. I could have thought of other arcs but, it’d felt wrong to not include this and the next entry. These 2 arcs had a huge impact on Naruto and Sasuke. These 2 arcs set the stage for quite a few important events. Not to mention these are the saddest arcs in Naruto Hands down.

This arc sees Jiraiya infiltrating Amegakure to gather intel on the leader of the Akatsuki, Pain, and ends on his death. It is a sad arc, seeing a face-off between a master and a student. The Fated Battle Between Brothers arc both on the list and in the series is following it. It is just 7 episodes long but it will always be in our memory.

Fated Battle Between Brothers

Another arc I had to include. Like I said earlier, this arc has a huge impact on future events and had a very deep impact on Sasuke’s character. The end of this arc marks the point when Sasuke starts falling deeper and deeper into hatred. This arc literally just focuses on the fight of Sasuke and Itachi and its aftermaths.

Sasuke learns the truth about Itachi and some parts of it are modified by Tobi to control Sasuke. It is at the end of this arc that Sasuke awakens his Mangekyou and decides to destroy Konoha. This is sad for 2 reasons: first – Itachi’s death and second – the fact that Sasuke succumbs to the curse of hatred despite Itachi’s wishes. It is followed by Pain’s assault and spans 9 episodes.

Fourth Shinobi World War: Climax

One of the many arcs that constitute the absolute wild ride that is the Fourth Shinobi World War. If you are confused, this arc starts with Madara’s reanimation and ends with Obito becoming the Ten-Tails jinchuriki.

This particular part of the 4thShinobi World War is so good because it is just Madara showing off his power for the most part. I mean this arc literally kicks off with Madara facing off against like 100s of people and then the 5 Kage. He took them out with ease of course. Then it also has that awesome “Allied Shinobi Force Jutsu” scene. It is of course followed by the Birth of Ten Tails Jinchurirki arc. The climax is an awesome arc and a lot of things happen in this arc including Itachi’s final goodbye.

Pain’s Assault

Ahh…Pain’s assault, how much I love this arc. It sees Pain’s assault on Konoha in search of Naruto and is full of awesome fights but, Naruto and Pain’s fight takes the cake though. It sees the killing of multiple characters, Konoha’s destruction, Naruto and Pain’s fight, Nagato’s death, the revival of the killed characters, rebuilding of Konoha, and most importantly, Naruto becoming the hero he always dreamed of. So much stuff in a single arc.

Pain’s assault is easily one of the best arcs. It has everything training, fights, and some serious plot progression. It is preceded by Fated Battle between Brothers arc and is followed by the Five Kage Summit arc.

Birth of the Ten-Tails Jinchuriki

I don’t care what any of you say, this is my favorite arc for one simple reason Naruto and Sasuke grow considerably stronger in a very short time during this arc. This arc sees Obito and then Madara becoming the Ten-Tails Jinchuriki. This arc is full of awesome fights. It also has one of the best fights in the entire series, the fight between Madara and Guy-sensei.

This arc ends when KaguyaOtsusuki is revived. If you ask me though, this arc is much better than the KaguyaOtsusuki Strikes arc because it has way more stuff while it is just one long fight in the Kaguya arc. I mean this arc sees the proper revival of Madara, completion of the Infinite Tsukuyomi, Sasuke and Naruto getting power from Hagoromo and so much more. This arc is followed by, of course, the KaguyaOtsusuki Strikes arc.

So those were my picks for the top 5 arcs from Naruto. I really love Naruto. It is a beautiful story of friendship and dreams. Naruto is also a very good source of motivation if you want. As always, stay tuned for more content, and do not forget to check out our awesome art section. With that being said I will take my leave here. See ya!!
