Alya Season 2 Confirmed!

Article at a glance:

  • The final episode of Season 1 revealed that Season 2 is in production, likely planned as a split cour.
  • Episode 12 felt like a regular episode rather than a season finale, highlighting Masachika’s skills and hinting at further character development for Alya.
  • No release window announced yet, but fans can expect more progress in Masachika and Alya’s relationship in the next season.

Okay so let me make something clear, I am making this more so to talk about Episode 12 rather than Alya Season 2 itself lol. I don’t think anyone was surprised that we’re getting a second-season confirmation so soon. I also believe that this is just a split cour… cours and seasons can get complicated when it comes to anime so I guess they just ran with Season 2 instead of doing that Part 2 or Cour 2 mess, which I appreciate.

But yeah, welcome back to another news article. But there isn’t much news to cover today, I wanted an excuse to talk about Alya Episode 12, and Season 2 news is a good enough excuse. So yeah, you know what we are talking about so let’s just get started.

What do we know about Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian Season 2?

The 12th and final episode of Season 1 revealed that Season 2 is in production. No release window or anything like that was stated for Season 2. But I think it is fair to assume that Season 2 will come out sometime next year and all the major staff and cast members from Season 1 will be returning to reprise their roles. But yeah, that’s really about it. I will keep you updated as and when more info about Season 2 drops. We did get an announcement teaser though and you can check that out right here!

My Thoughts

I say that this anime was probably planned with a split cour or a second season in mind because of how Episode 12 ended. It didn’t feel climactic, it just ended like a normal episode. So you know, it was pretty obvious that Episode 12 was made with more episodes in mind. Regardless, Episode 12 was pretty good. We got a good glimpse at Masachika’s capabilities. Even though he’s not very good at studies, his people skills and charisma are through the roof when he’s motivated.

The ending of the episode also served as a nice character moment for Alya too. So I look forward to seeing how their relationship progresses in Season 2. Also, Masachika almost let the fact that he knows Russsian slip in front of Alya, I wonder if she caught it or not lol. But yeah, episode 12 was good. I wanted something more from it but again, it is just meant as a temporary close, it wasn’t meant to be a “season finale” so it’s fine.

That is all for now!

Let me know what you guys think in the comments. That was all the Season 2 news we had and my thoughts on Alya Episode 12. With that said, I will take my leave here. I just downloaded Persona 3 and I am off to play that. See ya!
