My Hero Academia Final Season Announced…

Article at a glance:

  • The final season of My Hero Academia is confirmed for 2025, covering the remaining 35-40 chapters in approximately 13 episodes.
  • There are strong frustrations with the last few arcs and the manga’s conclusion, though there’s a hope for a better adaptation in the anime despite low expectations.
  • Regardless of those frustrations, it’s important to appreciate that My Hero Academia is receiving a complete adaptation, something many anime don’t get to achieve.

Well, here we go. Look, I kept my promise. I said I won’t talk about MHA Season 7 on the website and I never did. I never touched Season 7 outside of the news coverage. Heck, I didn’t see a single episode of Season 7. This is different, though. The only reason I am talking about My Hero Academia Final Season is that I am happy that it is getting a complete adaptation. A lot, and I mean, a lot of anime are not fortunate enough to get a full adaptation. So seeing something get a complete adaptation will always make me happy.

Keep that sentiment in mind. I said that because complaining will be inevitable when talking about the ending and the final arc. No matter how much I complain, that sentiment will remain true. And of course, if you don’t want to read more complaints about the final arc and stuff, feel free to ignore this article. So welcome back to another news article and today we are talking about My Hero Academia Final Season. Let’s get started.

About My Hero Academia Final Season

The 21st and final episode of Season 7 announced that the Final Season of MHA is in production. The official website for the anime adaptation then announced that the Final Season will be coming out in 2025. They also released a teaser visual and an announcement trailer. We have around 35-40 chapters left to cover after Season 7 so the Final Season should be around 13 episodes. So if my estimate is not wrong, the Final Season will have the same episode count as the first season of 13 episodes. And I find this very fitting.

But yeah, that is all they announced for now. Check out the announcement trailer here, and let’s move on to

My Thoughts

It is no secret that I find MHA after the Liberation War arc to be very frustrating. I’m not too fond of the last 3-4 arcs of the series at all. There is so much squandered potential in those arcs; it is a travesty. And the manga ending only added more to those frustrations. A lot of people liked the manga ending and defended it, even to this day. But I think even people who like the ending can agree that it can use a bit of expansion. Doesn’t even have to be anything too crazy, just some additional context. Because I feel sad for Deku as the ending is.

Do I think that Bones will modify or expand on the ending? No. Horikoshi is done with the manga; he has been making fanart and he seems content doing his own thing for now. So I don’t think he will help Bones out with an expanded ending. Aside from that, Bones really doesn’t have a reason to modify the ending in the anime. But even against all of those odds, I still hope that we somehow get a better ending for the anime. The manga ending was just terrible, in my opinion, lol.

That is all for now

Again, whatever my frustrations may be with My Hero Academia, I am happy that it is getting a full adaptation with the upcoming Final Season. Not many anime, heck not even many Shounens get to boast a full adaptation. But yeah, hopefully, this will be my last article on MHA because I am not going to watch the Final Seaosn. With that said, I will take my leave here. See ya!
