Chainsaw Man: Assassins Arc Unveils Pre-Animated Teaser
Fans of Chainsaw Man have a fresh glimpse into the upcoming Assassins Arc with a newly released pre-animated teaser trailer. Directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara, who also storyboarded the teaser and co-directed it alongside Daisuke Inoue, the preview highlights key characters and sets a gripping tone for the next chapter.
This teaser debuted during MAPPA’s 15th Anniversary Lineup Reveal event, which also introduced exciting news about the franchise. Besides the teaser, an opening movie for a Chainsaw Man mobile game was revealed. This opening movie was crafted by Nowoka, a director known for their work on stylish music videos, adding an artistic flair to the project.
Chainsaw Man: Assassins Arc continues the story following the success of the 2022 TV anime and the 2025 Chainsaw Man movie focusing on the Reze Arc. The anime adapts Tatsuki Fujimoto’s popular manga, which follows Denji, a young man who battles devils using his pet devil Pochita. After a betrayal, Denji gains the powers of a devil himself, becoming Chainsaw Man.
As always, MAPPA leads animation production, with Tatsuya Yoshihara returning as director. The team includes many returning creatives, such as Kazutaka Sugiyama on character designs and Hiroshi Seko as scriptwriter, along with fresh talent joining key roles. The voice cast also features returning actors like Kikunosuke Toya as Denji and Shiori Izawa voicing Pochita.
Fans can expect the Assassins Arc to expand on the intense action and emotional storytelling that have made Chainsaw Man a standout series. The blend of high-energy animation and complex characters promises to continue attracting a wide audience.
While the teaser does not include a full trailer or release date, it builds anticipation for what’s next. Additionally, the Chainsaw Man mobile game announcement signals broader engagement opportunities for fans to dive deeper into the world of devils and hunters.
For those following the Chainsaw Man franchise, these updates show MAPPA’s commitment to delivering high-quality content across different media. Keep an eye out for more news as the Assassins Arc gets closer to release.
