Hametsu no Oukoku Anime Announced

So this is a rather random bit of news I decided to cover because the manga looks interesting. I haven’t read Hametsu no Oukoku myself but the premise sounds interesting and apparently, there’s a lot of gore in the series. Why do I like the premise? Well, because it is a revenge story. It has been a while since we had a good revenge story, I am always looking out for stuff like Shield Hero, Vanitas no Carte, etc. If this series can fulfill that void, I am more than willing to give it a try.
So welcome back to another news article. Today we are talking about Hametsu no Oukoku. I seriously don’t know much about this manga, I just think the premise looks cool. That is why I decided to cover it, that’s all. Since this is not a “Put This on Your Radar”, I will separate out the news and introduction sections. And of course, give my thoughts on it later.
Introduction
Hamestu no Oukoku will be based on the manga of the same name by Yoruhashi. The manga has been serialized in Comic Garden since April 2019. And of course, it is still ongoing. It is an action fantasy manga about a revenge plot. So in this manga, humans have survived for a long time thanks to the magic gifted to them by the witches. But now, science has progressed enough to make witches and magic obsolete.
So the Redia Empire announces a war of extermination against the witches. The MC Adonis, vows revenge on the Redia Empire when his guardian, a witch is killed by the empire. As I said, it has been a while since we had a good revenge anime where the MC is just out for blood. This looks exactly like that and I am all for it.
What do we know about the anime adaptation so far?
The publisher Mag Garden opened an official website for Hametsu no Oukoku on Wednesday (1st Feb) and revealed a bunch of details. The anime is confirmed for this year, we don’t have a season yet but I am assuming it will either be summer or fall season. The anime will be directed by Keitaro Motonaga at Yokohama Animation Lab. The studio hasn’t done anything of note aside from A Genuis Prince’s guide, which was awesome. Interestingly enough, Kaito Ishikawa and Waki Azumi will be starring as the main duo.
Conclusion
Well, as I have said before, from what I’ve seen so far, this anime looks promising; to me at least. I’ve been wanting a revenge anime for a long time, and this is exactly that. So I actually look forward to Hametsu no Oukoku. That is my take though, and I haven’t read the manga, I am just making my judgement based on the stuff I’ve seen so far. So I might be wrong. Anyway, let me know in the comments if that is that and let me know what you think as well. I will take my leave here. See ya!
