Jujutsu Kaisen Manga is Ending Soon!

Man, the Jujutsu Kaisen manga finally coming to an end feels like a fever dream. I don’t even want to imagine how it will feel on the day One Piece concludes. The world will probably be on a collective vacation to celebrate that epic. But well, here we are, JJK will be ending in 5 chapters, and I don’t think anyone even expected this announcement, given how many plot threads are still unresolved. A little too soon, but the manga did get kind of repetitive for a while after the Gojo incident.
So I just quickly wanted to cover the announcement and my thoughts on the current situation of the manga. Of course, we will do a deep dive direction of the finale like we did for MHA a few weeks ago. Man, I sure do hope that Jujutsu Kaisen manga doesn’t end like MHA did, but to be honest, that is a low bar to clear. Still, let’s talk about it.
What do we know about the Ending?

In chapter 266, the much-awaited fight between Yuji and Sukuna starts in earnest. It is quite clear that we will get to see Yuji’s domain expansion soon, and I think it is also fair to assume that the fight will end with Sukuna’s defeat. Currently, we are on chapter 26,6, and the manga ends in 5 chapters, so 271 will likely be the final chapter of JJk. That puts the release date of the last chapter right around September 29th if there are no breaks in between.
Gege made it quite clear that he’d wind up the manga well before Jump Festa 2025, and we all knew that the manga would end in late 2024. But I don’t think anyone expected it to end in just 5 chapters from now. And just 5 chapters are not enough to wrap up everything lol. Let’s talk about it
My Thoughts and Predictions
5 chapters are nowhere near enough to wind up all the currently open plot threads. So we are most likely going to get the conclusion of Yuji vs. Sukuna, and that will probably be it. Maybe a little bit of an epilogue if we’re lucky, but there’s no way we’ll get anything other than that in 5 chapters. The last few chapters had been kind of stuck in the cycle of “New guy gets hyped only to lose to Sukuna,” and the moment we come out of that cycle, the series is about to end.
I have no doubts that the Yuji vs. Sukuna fight will go hard as hell, but there are some other plot threads that Gege has set up that will now go nowhere. As for the ending, if you ask me, I think it is pretty likely that either Yuji or Megumi will be the sole survivor of everything. I don’t see them both surviving, although that would be pretty rad, but I think we can all agree that one of them is not making it to the end. And of course, the series will also end with Sukuna’s final defeat. We all know he ain’t winning this one.

But yeah, those were my thoughts on the upcoming Jujutsu Kaisen manga finale. We will see how things go. Manga endings usually don’t go well, and I hope that phenomenon doesn’t affect Jujutsu Kaisen as well. I just want a good manga ending for a change. With that said, though, I will take my leave here.
