Kaiju No. 8 Manga Ending Soon

Article at a glance:
- Another month, another major manga wrapping up. This time, it’s Kaiju No. 8, and yes, it’s official — the series is ending in just two more chapters.
- If you’re feeling nervous about manga endings lately, trust me, you’re not alone. After a streak of controversial conclusions in the anime and manga world, it’s hard not to be cautious.
- Now, don’t worry — this isn’t my full review or anything. Just a quick look at the announcement and some early thoughts on how the final arc is shaping up. Let’s get into it.

Man, it is bad that I get nervous every time I have to make an article on the ending of a major manga. Like have the series of bad manga endings affected me so much? But well, here we are at the ending of another major manga, Kaiju No. 8. Will this one finally break the curse of bad endings? Well…uh, I have news for you, buddy. Though I don’t think that the ending itself will be bad just that the last arc has been a bit..lackluster to say the least.
But yeah, welcome back to another article and today we will be going over the ending announcement of Kaiju No. 8. Of course, there will be spoilers ahead as I am also looking to briefly go over my thoughts on the final arc. This isn’t my review of the ending, of course, the final chapter itself is like 2 months away. But yeah, let’s get started.

About the Kaiju No. 8 Manga Ending
Let’s go over the news first. Recently it was announced that Kaiju No. 8 manga will be concluding in just 2 chapters. Now, don’t worry, Kaiju No. 8 is a monthly serialization so those chapters will be rather long. And that puts the ending of the manga sometime in July. At the time of writing, we are still waiting for this month’s chapter, i.e. chapter 128. So 129 will be the last chapter of the manga. Again, despite the seemingly low chapter count, keep in mind that this manga has been ongoing for 5 years.
But yeah, the final chapter of the manga will drop sometime next month.
My Thoughts
The community reactions to the final arc have mostly been mixed. And I don’t think anyone hates where the story is going. The story had a very natural conclusion and the manga followed the natural course of the story well enough. It is not something like Oshi no Ko, that got ruined by a last-minute “twist”. But the problem is that the whole final arc feels rushed, it feels expedited. We could’ve had so much more for the final arc of the series but nope, we were just given the bare minimum.

Add that to the fact that sometimes characters just get powerups randomly and off screen and you have a rather frustrating final arc to an otherwise beloved series that had an incredibly strong start. That’s why, I don’t think that the ending itself will be bad and I don’t think that the story part of the final arc has been bad either. It’s just disappointing because we could have and should have had so much more. Now, I do understand that the author’s health hasn’t been great so there’s a good chance that the final arc being rushed has something to do with that.
That is all for now
Let me know what you guys think in the comments. I do look forward to the Kaiju No. 8 manga ending, hopefully, we won’t leave the series with a ton of unanswered questions or something. But yeah, with that said, I will take my leave here. I really need some sleep. See ya!
