Kimi ni Todoke Season 3 was a nice surprise announcement a few months ago. Just like Blue Exorcist Season 3, this announcement came out of nowhere and blew all of us fans away. I said this back then too but this statement is even truer now “The 2010s animes are making a comeback”. And I am here for every moment of that. Code Geass, One Piece, Kimi ni Todoke, Blue Exorcist, and so much more. 2024 will be an amazing year for anime. Which is crazy to even think about given how good 2023 already was.

So welcome back to another news article. Today we are talking about Kimi ni Todoke Season 3 once again. We got quite a few new details about this upcoming season recently. So let’s get into it and talk about it all!

What do we know about Kimi ni Todoke Season 3?

The official website of the season 3 anime confirmed that all the cast from the previous seasons will be reprising their roles. The anime will be made by Production IG and will be released worldwide on Netflix sometime in 2024. There are certain changes to the staff though. Most notably, we have a new director Kenichi Matsuzawa. A lot of staff is returning but there are still new additions to almost every category on top of the old staff.

We didn’t get a proper release window or anything along those lines and we don’t have a trailer either. But I am pretty sure we will get all that in the coming week as well. But that covers all the news for now. Let’s move on to

My Thoughts

So I saw a surprising number of people say that this season will probably suck because they replaced the director. Now, I know that the original director, Kaburagi Hro was amazing. But saying that the season will probably suck because they replaced the director is an overly negative way of looking at things in my opinion. Especially considering that a lot of the old staff is still returning to work on the anime.

Yes, it does concern me too slightly but I don’t think that the season will suck just because they changed the director. I think this will still be a fun season especially given the part of the manga this season will cover. Kimi ni Todoke has always been one of the best shoujo animes and I am sure it will continue to be so even after this season.

That is all for now!

I am very excited about this anime. I cannot wait for Kimi ni Todoke Season 3. Let me know what you guys think in the comments. I will take my leave here. See ya!!
