Let Me Fix You Animated Trailer Released on YouTube

A new animated trailer for the yuri zombie manga Let Me Fix You has been released on YouTube. Clocking in at just over 90 seconds, this short animation highlights tactile visuals and a unique story.

The trailer was directed, storyboarded, and designed by ani, who also handled key animation and character designs. The project features contributions from talented creators including Badbrix for in-between animation and color coordination, Kam’ kamon as background art director, and Xaryen as the director of photography.

Music plays a vital role in the trailer, with Raruru Chelly (formerly of the music group EGOIST) voicing Tsumugi, the skilled seamstress. Meanwhile, Tia lends her voice to Chise, the mysterious zombie character. This pairing brings the characters to life while complementing the emotional story.

Let Me Fix You originally debuted as a dojin manga by Sakura Kurihara in 2021 during Comic Market 99. The story centers on Tsumugi and Chise, exploring their unusual relationship. Tsumugi mends Chise’s battered body through careful stitches, building a gentle bond between life and the undead. This tale touches on love, healing, and the beauty found in imperfection.

Recently, a crowdfunding campaign successfully raised over $28,000 to produce a physical English edition of the manga. The wide support shows strong interest in this touching yuri zombie story.

Production faced challenges when allegations surfaced against the original animation producer Federico Antonio Russo and Buta Productions. As a result, key staff left the studio and reformed as Ponbleu. The project continued without Buta Productions or Russo, delaying the release from May to June.

Despite these hardships, the team pushed forward and delivered this promising trailer. Sakura Kurihara has also announced plans for new Let Me Fix You stories and a 2027 anthology compiling her other yuri zombie shorts.
