Solo Leveling Season 2 Episode 6 was Awesome!

Article at a glance:
- Solo Leveling Season 2 is a major improvement – Better pacing, animation, and more exciting fights make it much more enjoyable than Season 1.
- Jinwoo is in peak power fantasy mode – He’s done hiding his strength, and every fight oozes style and coolness, making each episode highly anticipated.

“Aura farming” is the new term on the block, and Solo Leveling Season 2 has been full of it. I am enjoying Season 2 a lot more than I did Season 1. Season 1 had pacing issues, and it was underwhelming in general compared to the hype that was placed on it. Season 2, though, is a completely different story. The animations look better, more and better fights, and the pacing actually feels good. I wanted to do an article on Solo Leveling Season 2 last week, but considering how Episode 5 ended, I figured it’d be best if I waited for Episode 6. And I was right.
So welcome back to another mid-season review, the first one for Winter 2025! And I think the first one for 2025 overall? Wow, it has been 6 weeks into 2025 already, huh? I don’t even know where January went. Today, we are talking about Solo Leveling Episode 6! Let’s get started!

What did I think of Solo Leveling Episode 6?
One thing I want to make clear before I get any further. Solo Leveling is supposed to be a power fantasy. It is supposed to be cool. Yes, the plot and world-building are decent, but those are never the focus of the series. Solo Leveling runs on the rule of cool, and I have no issues with it. This understanding is what I will base my review of Season 2 on in the future as well.
Now, onto the fun part. Jinwoo has been a complete badass in Season 2. I appreciate how he has decided to stop hiding his strength, and more people are starting to learn about his true nature. Every single fight in Season 2 so far has been awesome. As a result, the plot feels more compelling, too. I now look forward to every episode just to see how ridiculous the fights get. Take episode 6, for example. First, we got an all-out brawl between both armies, and then a one-on-one between Jinwoo and the dungeon boss.

This has become kind of a standard format for fights in Solo Leveling Season 2, and I am not complaining about it. It works. Jinwoo has gotten a lot better at utilizing his arsenal of skills as well. And the sheer cool factor he commands now is off the charts. Dude is aura farming 24/7. As if the Gojo fangirls weren’t enough, I’ve already seen enough tweets to know what Jinwoo fans are capable of. Jokes aside, I am really enjoying Season 2 so far. The animations are great, the opening theme by LiSA and the ending theme by my beloved TK are really good as well.
That is all for now
I heard that certain Sakamoto Days fans were mad at Solo Leveling because SL got the better adaptation. Well, can’t say I blame them. Really a shame when a huge seller like SakaDays can’t get a good adaptation. But yeah, let me know what you guys think in the comments. I will take my leave here. I am literally nodding off from exhaustion. See ya!
