Steel Ball Run Anime Confirmed!

Article at a glance:
Yup, it’s happening. Announced during JOJODAY with a teaser trailer and some slick art of Gyro and Johnny.
David Production’s taking their time as usual, so don’t expect it tomorrow, but hey, it’s official now.
Can’t wait to hear that opening theme and see ZA WARUDO in glorious animation again.

Man, I find it funny to imagine just how wild the meeting discussing Steel Ball Run at David Production must have been. Like, imagine explaining to your boss that the whole Jojo Part 7 manga is about a race, some balls, and Jesus himself and that it is somehow PEAK. Yeah, man, I don’t know what Araki was on when he wrote SBR. And somehow, Jojolion and Jojoland after this are even weirder. Either way, an anime adaptation of Steel Ball Run has been confirmed. And we have waited a LONG time for this.

To quote Drew McIntyre, “I prayed for this and it happened”. Welcome to another news article today, we are talking about the Jojo Part 7: Steel Ball Run anime adaptation. Fair warning, just initial announcement so not much actual news but hey, I just wanted to talk about it. So let’s get started.

What do we know about the Steel Ball Run anime?

There was a fan event for JoJo earlier today called “JOJODAY”. The event featured some big names from the series like Kazuyuki Okitsu (Johnathan Joestar), Daisuke Ono (Jotaro Kujo), Junichi Suwabe (Abbachio), and Fairouz Ai (Joulyne Kujo). This event was a paid live stream on ABEMA. The event went on to announce that an anime adaptation for JoJo Part 7 has been officially greenlit. For now, that’s all they confirmed. We also got a teaser trailer and a commemorative art featuring Gyro and Johny.

You can check out the announcement trailer here and yeah. that’s about it really. I will keep you posted as the updates pour in.

So let’s move on to

My Thoughts

Is it weird that one of the things I look forward to most in the SBR anime is the opening theme? I mean, JoJo opening themes are always bangers and they’re very iconic. So I am very interested in seeing what opening theme they use for SBR. SBR is basically Part 1 rebooted with Stands and more stuff, so I wonder if David Production will throw in some extra references to Part 1 in it lol.

As you can tell already, I am very excited about a JoJo Part 7 anime. I doubt it will come out any time soon because David Productions likes to take their time to cook. But man, whenever it does come out, I will be so ready to jump on it. Part 7 is one of the best parts of JoJo and definitely among my favorites so I am very excited about this anime adaptation. And of course, we all cannot wait to hear the iconic ZA WARUDO again.

That is all for now

So yeah, let me know what you guys think in the comments. I am very excited about the Steel Ball Run anime. With that said though, I will take my leave here. I am off to play more RE 2 Remake lol. See ya!
