Fans of THE ONE PIECE have reason to celebrate as the beloved franchise continues to expand. New artwork for the anime remake’s first episode, “Romance Dawn,” has just been revealed. This marks the beginning of a series of episode artworks that will be unveiled throughout the upcoming season.

More exciting news is on the horizon. The official teaser trailer produced by WIT STUDIO will drop on June 24 at 3 PM CEST. This trailer promises a fresh take on the classic beginning of Luffy’s adventurous journey, rekindling fans’ excitement ahead of the full season release.

THE ONE PIECE’s first season is set to premiere on Netflix in February 2027. It will cover the first 50 chapters of Eiichiro Oda’s original manga, packed into seven episodes running about 300 minutes in total. This season aims to reintroduce the story with updated animation and a new creative team.

The talented staff behind this remake includes director Masashi Koizuka, known for his work on Attack on Titan seasons 2 and 3. The series composition is managed by Taku Kishimoto from Ranking of Kings. Character design duties fall to Kyoji Asano and Takatoshi Honda, both experienced chief animation directors. Assistant director Hideaki Abe will also bring his expertise, having worked on Jujutsu Kaisen. Together, this team is revitalizing the classic tale.

THE ONE PIECE manga debuted in 1997 and remains a cornerstone of adventure storytelling. It follows Monkey D. Luffy, a boy inspired to be a pirate by the legendary “Red-Haired” Shanks.

After eating the Gum-Gum Devil Fruit, Luffy gains stretchy powers but loses the ability to swim. Undeterred, he sets sail for the legendary “One Piece” treasure, aiming to become the King of the Pirates.

This Netflix adaptation arrives alongside other ONE PIECE projects, including a special episode titled One Piece Heroines set to premiere on July 5. There are also plans for more content like One Piece: The Battle of Alabasta and the upcoming third season of the live-action series.

With new visuals and a trailer arriving soon, fans can look forward to a fresh, engaging way to experience a timeless story. Mark your calendars for June 24 and stay tuned for more updates on THE ONE PIECE remake.
