Yeah, Mushoku Tensei really did it. I had my concerns since last week, we all saw the not-so-subtle foreshadowing last week but seeing it happen still hurt a lot. Mushoku Tensei Season 2 Episode 22 was just a cruel episode and I have a feeling that the remaining two episodes of the season aren’t going to be any different. And while that ended up becoming the highlight of the week for me, it was far from the only good episode this week.
If it wasn’t for that episode, I’d have put Kaiju No. 8 Episode 10 as the best episode of the week. That episode delivered on so many fronts, it was awesome. And then KonoSuba had a very serious episode this week, I am sure we will be back to the chaotic fun next week but week’s episode was still really good. Sound Euphonium continues with its beautiful character journeys and Wind Break just had a fun episode.
So welcome back to another edition of our best episodes of the week series! Let’s talk about everything from Mushoku Tensei Season 2 Episode 22 to KonoSuba Season 3 Episode 10!
Wind Breaker Episode 11

I am putting this episode here because it was just simple dumb fun. The rest of the episodes on this week’s list are quite heavy so I had to counter that with something. But Wind Breaker Episode 11 was hilarious and entertaining. The episode did a great job of introducing two new characters with quirky personalities and it also told us a little more about Sakura’s personality, I love how shy he is when it comes to girls. Kotoha is the only girl he is “used to” lol. But yeah, Kiryu and Tsuge are great additions to the show’s cast.
The fight scene we got in his episode once again showcased how good the animations are. And it was a lot of fun to watch, Also the Stone Cold Steve Austin cut-out in the background during the fight made it even funnier.
KonoSuba Season 3 Episode 10

This was a surprisingly heavy episode for KonoSuba standards. The day of Darkness’s political wedding is fast approaching and Kazuma has almost given up on saving her. At first, it seemed like he was just being stubborn but that’s not the case, he was truly stuck. So this episode was also one of the rare times we see Kazuma all down and vulnerable. But then it gets better, Vanir drops by and he explains how Dakness’s family ended up in the condition they’re in.
This was an amazing episode despite being so different from KonoSuba’s usual tone. Aside from all the character stuff this episode gave us, the info Vanir had also added a lot to the world. So that’s cool.
Sound Euphonium Season 3 Episode 11

Hearing Natsuki’s voice instantly put a smile on my face. But once again, the show keeps on finding more and more ways to impress me with its characters. This episode may seem like nothing happened but there were multiple important things in the episode. First off, we saw how much Kumiko had been struggling to pick a career path after high school. In this episode, she finally made a firm decision that it wouldn’t be music school. We also learn that Reina will be moving away after high school and of course, she is also a little conflicted about Kumiko’s choice.
And on top of all this, the episode also put a question mark on Mayu’s character, I am sure we will see more of her in next week’s episode. Also, I’d like to quickly point out just how much Kumiko and her sister’s dynamic has improved since Season 1. Seeing their interaction in this episode was heartwarming.
Kaiju No. 8 Episode 10

The buildup to this episode was crazy and it did deliver. This episode once again showcased how cool Hoshina is, he continues fighting despite his injuries and clear exhaustion. And the whole third division starts doing whatever they can to keep the Honju at bay and let Mina have a clear shot. Sure enough, a clear charged shot from Mina’s canon is enough to finish the Honju for good.
And then there was the whole ending sequence of the episode. I won’t spoil what happened. But, oh boy. That ending has a lot of implications. I am curious to see what happens next week because of it. Amazing episode in general though.
Mushoku Tensei Season 2 Episode 22

Spoiler warning I can’t talk about this episode without mentioning certain things from it so please go and watch it first. But Mushoku Tensei really had to air this episode on Father’s Dar huh? They delayed the anime one week to line up this episode’s release date with Father’s Day, that is just cruel. That’s not even all, Rudeus not only lost his father, and his mother who they fought so hard to rescue, but has also lost her memories, maybe even her ability to speak.
Wow, I don’t even know what to say. We will see what Rudy’s mental state is like in next week’s episode. But Mushoku Tensei Season 2 Episode 22 was amazing. Even if I put all of its cruelty aside, the fight scenes we got in this episode were intense and well done.
That is all for now!
I am still shaken after watching that Mushoku Tensei episode. Look, guys, happy Father’s Day, take care of your dads and respect them for what they do. Flawed they may be, but most fathers still strive to protect their families. And let us all try and be a good father like Paul was despite all of his flaws, That is all I have to say for now. I will take my leave here. See ya!
