Yes, I apologize for being a bit late in covering this news. I had been a bit busy. But well, here I am now. Better late than never, right? Either way, I knew Dandadan would get a Season 2 eventually, but I didn’t expect that it’d be so quick lol. Like, Season 2 is just a few months away. But again, I am not surprised given the huge success of the anime. It may not be my favorite anime from this season, but I know how much people love it, and you know what? I get it, and I am excited about Season 2 as well.
So welcome back to another news article, and today we are talking about Dandadan Season 2! There’s surprisingly quite a bunch of interesting info to cover, so let’s talk about it!
What do we know about Dandadan Season 2?
This Friday, the 12th and final episode of Dandadan aired, and it announced that a sequel is in production. And to my surprise. Season 2 will be coming out pretty soon. The 2nd season is scheduled to air in July 2025, i.e., the Summer 2025 season. So it is just 6 months away lol. We know that Science SARU is coming back to animate Season 2 as well, so it is unlikely that there will be any significant changes to the staff members.
But yeah, we got an announcement teaser as well. There isn’t much else to cover so far. I’m sure they will announce new cast members and other stuff in the upcoming months. You can check out the announcement teaser here, and that is all the news for now. So let’s move on to
My Thoughts
Man, Season 1 introduced Jin right at the end of the 10th episode. So we only got to see him for 2 episodes so far. It is pretty clear that he will be part of the main cast going forward, given his presence in the opening and stuff. So he’s the one I look forward to seeing more of in Season 2. Aside from that, I hope we get to learn more about the aliens and the spirits in Season 2 as well. I did find the world-building in Season 1 a bit lacking, so I want to see more of it because it is an interesting world.
Of course, the shenanigans between Momo and Okarun will continue. Their interactions are hilarious, and I look forward to seeing how their dynamic develops in Season 2. I am always up for a bit of romance, you know? I don’t know what’s waiting for us in Season 2. I haven’t read the manga or anything, but I am excited about it.
