Demon Slayer Infinity Castle Part 1 Details Revealed!

Article at a glance:
- Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 1 releases in Japan on July 18, with a global release following soon after in 150+ countries.
- All 12 Demon Slayer movies will rerun in Japanese theaters, and Mugen Train is getting a 4K remaster & IMAX release.
- The aggressive marketing and re-releases feel desperate, but the trilogy is still expected to be a high-quality, profitable finale.

I don’t remember when but it was revealed a while ago that the final arc of Demon Slayer, the Infinity Castle arc will be adapted into a trilogy of movies. Demon Slayer really took off after the Mugen Train arc movie so makes sense that they’re doing a trilogy of movies for the grand finale. And well, Part 1 of Demon Slayer Infinity Castle is coming sooner than you expect. In fact, the Japanese release of the movie is only a few months away. Though I don’t know how long the global release will take but still.
So welcome back to another news article. Today we are talking about Demon Slayer Infinity Castle Part 1. Can’t wait to have the whole ending good or bad debate again once the anime adaptation is finished. Though I do think that despite all its issues, Demon Slayer has a decent enough ending. Especially compared to something like Jujutsu Kaise or Oshi no Ko. But more on that later. Let’s get into the news.

What do we know about Demon Slayer Infinity Castle Part 1?
Well, first and foremost, the movie is coming out quite soon. Infinity Castle Part 1 is targeting a July 18th release date in the Japanese theatres. The global release should follow a few weeks later. The global release is also slightly broader than the previous movies. The previous movies were released in about 145 countries while Infinity Castle Part 1 will release in over 150 countries. They’re going hard on promoting this movie with all kinds of special offers if you participate in advanced booking that opens on March 7th.
Aside from that, all the 12 other Demon Slayer films (including the compilation movies) will run in Japanese theatres on rotation between April 4th and July 3rd. Also, the Mugen Train arc movie is getting a 4k remaster and IMAX release along with all this. Yeah, if they’re doing so much for the first movie in the trilogy, I wonder what they’ll do for the grand finale. Check out the announcement teaser here!
Let’s move on to
My Thoughts
I don’t even know what to say. Aniplex/UFO Table are going so hard on Demon Slayer because these movies are basically their final chance to milk Demon Slayer for all its worth. And even then, I wouldn’t be surprised if they do more random Demon Slayer projects after the finale just to make more money. I am usually not this hard on re-releases but this whole thing reeks of desperation to make more, even though the Infinity Castle trilogy is bound to turn over a great profit as is.
Demon Slayer gets a lot of needless hate but I don’t even mind the anime itself, it is fun and if Demon Slayer introduces more people to the world of anime, so be it. But this ain’t it, man. I am sure the final movies will be great. UFO Table rarely sacrifices quality, especially when it comes to its theatrical releases. I will likely enjoy the Infinity Castle arc too. But they gotta stop doing this, it reeks of desperation and that doesn’t exactly send a good message to the audience.
That is all for now
Sorry if I got a little ranty there. Desperate behavior like this by multi-million dollar companies always gets a little on my nerves. Again, I don’t mind them doing some extra stuff to promote the series finale but they’re going overboard with it, I am sure that the usual marketing push will be insane as well. But yeah, with that said, I will take my leave here. See ya!
