Wind Breaker Season 2 Episode 4 Was So Good

Article at a glance:

  • Wind Breaker Season 2 is diving deep into Sakura’s struggles with responsibility and opening up, showing major progress from his lone-wolf beginnings.
  • Episode 4’s heartfelt conversation highlights Sakura’s fear of vulnerability and how Kaji’s guidance mirrors his own past, making their dynamic even stronger.
  • With just four episodes, Sakura’s character development has been standout, setting up an exciting journey as he faces his shortcomings head-on.

There are two things that Wind Breaker does really well: character writing and fight scenes. The character writing for Sakura, even in Season 1, was really good. Despite starting with a huge fight, Wind Breaker Season 2 has been placing some heavy emphasis on Sakura’s character, and Episode 4 will most likely be a huge step forward in his journey. Sakura has never been good with praise or responsibility since he grew up all alone. And the recent two episodes have been all about Sakura learning what it means to be a leader.

So welcome to another article. Today we are talking about how well Wind Breaker has been doing with Sakura’s character development and talking about Season 2 Episode 4. in general. Because I really like this episode. So let’s get started.

Why did I like Wind Breaker Season 2 Episode 4?

Since Sakura grew up all alone and was rejected by everyone around him, he is afraid of opening up to people. We see this throughout Season 1 as well, people acting friends towards him or even thanking him catches him off-guard. He just doesn’t understand how to deal with people. Fast forward to Season 2 and while he has come far, he still has a lot to learn. Sakura can’t bring himself to open up to others or ask for their help because, to him, it is like admitting he is weak.

The conversation he and Kaji had on the rooftop in Episode 4 was really well done. I like how even Sakura himself is trying to make himself better. He will never admit it but he really does care about his classmates and friends. That’s why he took it so hard when Kaji pointed out that his priority should be helping his classmates in Episode 2. I am honestly really starting to enjoy the senior-junior relationship Kaji and Sakura have developed.

And the fact that Kaji got the same lecture by Hiiragi years ago makes Episode 4 even better. Sakura has gotten so much character development in just 4 episodes, it is kind of nuts. I am really looking forward to seeing how they flesh his character out moving forward. I also like how Sakura himself is starting to come to terms with his shortcomings and understands why they hold him back.

That is all for now

Wind Breaker Season 2 is off to an amazing start and Sakura’s character development has been the best part about it so far. Let me know what you guys think in the comments. I will take my leave here. See ya!
