Chainsaw Man Reze Arc Release Date Confirmed!

Article at a glance:
- Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc just dropped a fire new trailer at Anime Expo 2025, and it looks absolutely insane.
- The movie officially hits Japanese theatres on September 19th, with an international release set for October 29th.
- MAPPA’s back on their grind, animation is immaculate, and Kenshi Yonezu returns with the theme song “IRIS OUT.” Let’s talk about it.

I am usually not the one to froth over trailers and such, but man, I really want to see this movie in the theatres if possible. This is what we get when Mappa strips their employees of everything but basic necessities for over a year 💀. Jokes aside, the animation quality in this trailer looks…immaculate. But not only did we get a banger new trailer, we also got a locked-in release date for Chainsaw Man Reze Arc. This arc is where Chainsaw Man really comes into its own, and man, I cannot wait for it.
So welcome back to another news article. This news also comes to us from the Anime Expo 2025. The news roundup for Anime Expo 2025 is going to be absolutely insane lol, I look forward to doing that next week. But today we are talking about Chainsaw Man Reze arc release date and discussing the new trailer. Let’s get into it.
About Chainsaw Man Reze Arc
As mentioned previously, this news comes from the MAPPA Panel at Anime Expo 2025. Yesterday, they revealed the main trailer, theme song, and release date for the Reze-arc movie. And I am so glad that they brought back Kenshi Yonezu for the theme song, such an underrated artist. The movie is set to premiere on September 19th in Japanese theatres, and an international release is scheduled for October 29th.
Of course, the trailer features the aforementioned theme song, “IRIS OUT” by Kenshi Yonezu. And yeah, since this is Chainsaw Man we are talking about, the trailer is quite spicy as well, so don’t watch it around your parents lol. You can watch the trailer right here, and I really recommend you check it out. Of course, the movie is being directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara, Hiroshi Seko is penning the script, and Kazutaka Sugiyama is designing the characters at MAPPA.
My Thoughts
As I said, Reze-arc is where Chainsaw Man really comes into its own. What you saw in Season 1 was just a preview; there is a lot more depression to come. Being a protagonist in a Fujimoto manga only means suffering. And sure enough, Denji will suffer a lot more. I won’t spoil it, but this will be the make-or-break moment for a lot of people. After this point, you will either understand why people like CSM so much or you will just drop the series and move on.
And I hope people understand what CSM is getting at. Fujimoto’s mangas are often centered around suffering for a reason; he is trying to tell us something. I can only hope that people understand the real message of CSM under all that depression and over-the-top fan service.
That is all for now
So yeah, that does it for now. I swear, you will never again see me frothing this much over a trailer in the future. Crazy how I was crying about content drought just a few weeks ago, and now I am drowning in content lmao. I am not even sure if I can manage to cover it all. But I will try my best. With that said, I will take my leave here. See ya!
