Anime Expo season is always fun because it is a goldmine of content for me. So much so that last week, I wasn’t even sure if I would be able to cover it all, so I decided to wait. As always, Anime Expo 2025 brought us a whole bunch of news and announcements to go over, and in this article, we will be doing just that. There is a LOT of stuff to look forward to, from Edgerunners Season 2 to Bleach TYBW Part 4 to Mushoku Tensei Season 3. I cannot believe that we still have so many great shows to look forward to.
So welcome back to another news article. This one will likely be quite long, so buckle in as we go over every major anime news announcement from Anime Expo 2025. I won’t be going into too much detail here and only cover the important stuff. Let’s get started.
In no particular order:

Hiromu Arakawa is the author of everyone’s beloved, Fullmetal Alchemist. Anime Expo revealed that her current ongoing manga, Yomi no Tsugai, will be getting an anime adaptation, produced by Studio Bones.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Season 2 Announced
The talk of the town, Netflix confirmed that Edgerunners will be returning for another set of 10 episodes with a new cast. Kai Ikarashi will be directing the show at Studio Trigger once again, of course.
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Season 2, First Trailer Revealed
Not much to say here, we got our first official look at Frieren Season 2, and safe to say, the hype is through the roof for this one. You can watch the trailer here, and the anime is scheduled to debut sometime in 2026.
Black Clover Season 2 announced
After a 5-year break, the Black Clover anime will be returning soon. No release window for this one yet, but Pierott has announced this as the 10th anniversary project for Black Clover, so it is bound to be something good.
Bleach TYBW Part 4 Release Window Revealed
Bleach: The Thousand Year Blood War arc will finally conclude in 2026. No trailers yet, but we did a really cool teaser visual featuring the Horn of Salvation form.
Apothecary Diaries Season 3 Confirmed
Limited details on this one, but at least we know for sure that Season 3 is happening sometime in the future. I would be mad if they didn’t confirm a Season 3 after that ending of Season 2.
Mushoku Tensei Season 3 Trailer Revealed
We got our first official look at Mushoku Tensei III at Anime Expo 2025, and this has to be one of the most noteworthy news stories. The trailer finally shows Eris again, and it feels good seeing her well. You can watch the trailer here!
Re:Zero Season 4
Re:Zero Season 4 will be adapting the Pleiades Watchtower arc. The anime will be coming out sometime in 2026 as well. And you can check out the latest trailer right here!
Beastars Final Season Part 2 Announced
I don’t watch Beastars, but the anime will be finally concluding in 2026 as well.
Fist of the North Star Remake Announced
Now, this one caught me off guard. The iconic, the legendary Fist of the North Star is getting a remake. And yes, this too is scheduled for 2026. Man, if they stay faithful to the original, this anime will be an absolute treat. You can check out the trailer for it here!
That is all for now
I think that more or less covers all the important announcements from AX 2025. There were some other minor updates regarding OPM Season 3, but we already knew about OPM Season 3, and that’s coming this year, so I didn’t include those. Let me know if I missed something here, because that is totally possible. But yeah, as if 2025 wasn’t good enough about anime, 2026 seems to be even better somehow.
Let me know which shows you guys are looking forward to. There is so much to talk about in the anime space again, and it feels refreshing after going through a dry patch past 3 months or so. With that said, I will take my leave here. See ya!
