Eminence in Shadow Season 2 has been Pretty Good So far

Key points for The Eminence in Shadow Season 2 review:
- Character Spotlight: I really like how the second season of The Eminence in Shadow gives more attention to characters we didn’t see much in Season 1, letting them have their moments and contributing to the overall story depth.
- Diverse Arcs: Personally, I enjoyed the variety in story arcs. The vampire arc, especially Cid’s fight with the queen, was a spectacle. The current arc, focused on the economy, offers a different flavor with lots to keep track of β it’s genuinely fun.
- Production Quality: The production side, including art, animation, and music, continues to impress. While I prefer the first opening theme, the current one is a banger too. All in all, I’d give it an 8.5/10 for now, with the potential to move up to a 9 based on how the second half of the season unfolds. Let me know your thoughts in the comments. See ya!

When I first started watching this series, I didn’t expect to be completely hooked on it. When I finished it, I didn’t expect a 2nd season this year itself. And then I didn’t expect The Eminence in Shadow Season 2 to be as good as it is but this anime delivered and proved me wrong on all of those fronts.
Granted, Season 2 is not as long as Season 1, but halfway through it, and, this season has been just as good, if not better than Season 1. Especially when it comes to certain aspects.
So welcome back to another one of my mid-season reviews. And today, of course, we are talking about The Eminence in Shadow Season 2. Let’s get started.

What do I think of The Eminence in Shadow Season 2?
First off man, I like how much more detail there is in this season. We are working with established the world and characters now so the story has a little more freedom to mess around. So characters we barely saw, like Delta or Claire in season 1 are getting some spotlight. Alexia, Alpha, Rose, etc. Had their moments in Season 1 so they’ve been kinda sidelined. And I don’t mean that badly because all of them are still important.
What I am trying to say is, that when you have a large cast like this anime, it is important to switch things a little every once in a while to let different characters shine. And that is exactly what this anike is doing! And I appreciate that. The addition of characters like Yukime also adds to the cast as she bounces off really well with Cid in the current arc. Their interactions are so fun to watch.

Personally, I liked the vampire arc a little more than the current one just because of Cid’s fight with the queen and how much of a spectacle that was. But this arc is pretty good too. You can learn a thing or two about the economy from this arc LOL. Lots of things to keep track of in this arc, it’s really fun.
That is all for now!!
I didn’t mention the production side of things, because you know that is really good. The art, the animations, and the music are all on point and really well done. I like the first opening theme more, but this one is a banger too.
All things considered, I think a score of 8.5/10 is perfect for now. I may even move it to a 9 depending on how the 2nd half of this season goes! Let me know what you think in the comments, I will take my leave here. See ya!
