KonoSuba Season 3 Episode 3 Was Unhinged! Best Episodes!

Article at a glance:

  • Himari’s contemplation of love and Yori’s vulnerability in “Whisper Me a Love Song” added depth to their relationship.
  • “Go Go Loser Ranger” revealed the brutality of characters like Red and explored Hibiki’s troubled past.
  • Kafka faces challenges in “Kaiju No. 8” but demonstrates resilience and tactical thinking, setting up for character development.
  • “Mushoku Tensei” evoked sentimentality with Rudy’s reluctance to part ways with Ruijerd and introduced intriguing new characters.
  • “KonoSuba” delivered pure comedic chaos, with Kazuma’s antics providing laughter amidst absurd situations.

I think it is not a stretch to say that this has been the best week of the Spring 2024 season so far when it comes to anime. Every single episode I watched this week was really good. I only have limited room on the list for episodes, but I don’t think there was even a single underwhelming episode in the anime I am watching. Be it the unhinged comedy of KonoSuba Season 3 Episode 3 or the pure diabetes-inducing Whisper Me a Love Song Episode 3, this week truly did have something for everyone.

The season is finally settling into its groove and I have a feeling that things will only get better. Because this week’s episodes did such an amazing job of setting up for the next week, that I can’t help but feel that next week might just surpass this one. So stuff like Wind Breaker Episode 3 didn’t make it onto the list but I am sure next week’s episode is going to be a blast.

So yeah, let’s talk about it all. From KonoSuba Episode 3 to Kaiju No. 8 Episode 3. This is the 4th week of the Spring 2024 anime season and here are my favorite episodes from this week!

Whisper Me a Love Song Episode 3

This episode was quite good. Most of the episode featured Himari thinking over Yori’s confession and trying to figure out the difference between “love” when comes to friends/family and romantic “love”. To that end, she spends most of the episode talking about it to people who are more experienced in those matters like Miki or even her Mom. All that really highlighted Himari’s innocence and how seriously she takes things like this. She could’ve brushed it off but she really did think long and hard before answering.

As for Yori, she was awesome throughout this episode as well. The sheer uneasiness she was feeling till she finally got a response… Oh man, I have been there, it is not easy lol. Lastly, this episode also had some annoying transition effects, I am not sure why they were done but once or twice is fine, this episode used those a lot and it got a little annoying. Still, given how good the episode was, this is just a minor complaint.

Go Go Loser Ranger Episode 4

This episode really put into perspective how brutal the Dragon Keepers, or rather Red specifically can be. Monsters aside, he straight-up killed one of his own men, in a rather brutal way, might I add, and proceeded to eat dinner like nothing happened. And no one else in the room even batted an eye. The junior first rank from the Blue Squad did react a bit but that’s it. No one said anything else.

This episode also showed us what kind of messed up family Hibiki grew up in and how his twisted worldview was formed through that. All in all, this was a very interesting episode, I won’t spoil the ending but the ending to this episode was awesome as well.

Kaiju No. 8 Episode 3

So the physical exams for entry into the Kaiju extermination force are finally here. And Kafka has to hold back his powers, relying only on his human abilities to get through the exam. And as you might expect, things do not go smoothly for him. Not only did he fall behind compared to the younger applicants on all the physical tests, but he was also unable to draw out any strength from the special Kaiju-fighting suit.

So he decides to do what he can do, which is provide support to other people who are better at attacking than him. After all, after years of working in the cleanup division, he knows what are the weakest spots of different types of Kaiju. Just when things start to look bright for him after all that though, he gets attacked by a Kaiju and is injured seriously. I won’t spoil what the last scene of the episode is, but it is a great scene so watch it for yourself!

Mushoku Tensei Season 2 Part 2 Episode 4

Man, it felt good to see Ruijerd after such a long time. Even Rudy was unwilling to part ways with him once again. Just goes on to show how deep of a connection they formed throughout the entirety of Season 1. I like that they took time and showed just how hard it was for Rudy to let Ruijerd go once again. And when he finally left, you can’t help but feel a little sad yourself.

Now, as for the kids he delivered… Man, Norn, and Aisha couldn’t be more different from each other, And the episode already did a fantastic job of characterizing them. The upcoming episode is going to be all about Norn so I won’t speak much on her right now, but we got to see Aisha’s insecurity that she may get treated unfairly by Rudy because she is the daughter of a mistress. And of course, we have Rudy once again realizing just how hard it is to be an adult. Great episode.

KonoSuba Season 3 Episode 3

Every single moment of KonoSuba Season 3 Episode 3 was pure chaos. Kazuma had gotten quite a bit comfortable in his castle life as a guest. And man, the scene where he wakes up and asks for coffee, was hilarious. They subvert that scene later in the episode with Darkness, Aqua, and Megumin barging in instead of the maid/butler and that was quite something as well.

As I said, every moment of this episode was pure unhinged fun. Kazuma was willing to do anything to stay just a little longer in the castle. And the moment he found a chance to do that, he bit it. And well, it didn’t quite work out the way he expected lol. Awesome episode overall. I could not stop laughing. And god knows what kind of stories he was telling to Irs during his time at the castle lol.

That is all for now!

Let me know what episodes you guys enjoyed the most this week. This week was full of amazing episodes and these we the ones I just enjoyed the most. With that said, I will take my leave here. May you have a great week ahead of you and I will catch you again soon! See ya!
