No, One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 8 Was Not That Good

Episode 8 was fine, but that’s the bare minimum. Yes, it had real animation and camera work. Cool. Still doesn’t erase the fact that the past few episodes were lazy, messy, and way below what OPM deserves.
We shouldn’t celebrate mediocrity. One decent episode doesn’t excuse weeks of slop. Bandai and JC Staff have lowered expectations so hard that people are praising average animation like it’s peak cinema.

Don’t get me wrong, the episode was miles better than the absolute slop we were being fed for the last 2 weeks. One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 8 actually had animations and the dynamic camera angles. Instead of just stiff shots where only the mouths move, we had been getting for the past 2-3 weeks. But that’s the bare minimum. I refuse to applaud the studio for doing the bare minimum. And yeah, I think we might as well do weekly articles on OPM Season 3 at this point because I skipped a week, and some HUGE drama happens with this show.

But yeah, I am retracting all the positive comments and courtesy I gave OPM Season 3. So yeah, let’s talk about One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 8 and why I no longer even want to defend JC Staff. Let’s get started.

Why did I still not like One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 8?

First and foremost, I will no longer defend JC Staff. This does not mean I condone the harassment they’ve been receiving online. No. Harassment is wrong, no matter the context. All I am saying is that I refuse to go out of my way to defend them as I did previously. If they think they can deliver a garbage product like this and then hide behind the shield of “illegal viewers” instead of acknowledging their own faults, I have no reason to reserve any respect for them either.

People defend this crap and its staff, while the Chainsaw Man Season 1 was too far for them, despite being an immaculate adaptation. Make it make sense.

Circling back to Episode 8, yeah, this episode was decent. The fight was actually animated and fun to watch. But this is the bare minimum. It is sad that we are celebrating a bare minimum episode as if it’s a good deal. Bandai and JC Staff have lowered our expectations so much that we have to treat these average animations like they’re a big deal. Even Season 2 looked better than this.

And no, one episode with decent animation does not excuse the last 2-3 episodes being complete dogshit. I swear, Episode 7 especially was filled with so many weird animations and drawing mistakes that it just frustrated me. Yeah, remember THREE boobs on Mizuki? Or how about SIX FINGERS in MULTIPLE shots??? I have said this multiple times before, and I’ll say it again. ONE and Murata’s masterpiece has been reduced to THIS. It is disgusting, and shame on Bandai and JC Staff for even allowing this.

Yes, I understand how upset I sound today. And yes, I AM upset. I am upset that we have to celebrate the bare minimum effort like it is a big deal; I am upset that the people I had been defending so much for the last few weeks do not care about the criticism at all. I am upset that One Punch Man will forever be remembered for this instead of that masterpiece ONE and Murata made. But yeah, let me know what you guys think in the comments.
