One Punch Man Season 3 Finally Reveals More Details

Key points for One Punch Man Season 3 news:

  • So, JC Staff is back for One Punch Man Season 3, and it seems like most of the main staff from Season 2 will be returning.
  • Unfortunately, we’re still in the dark about the release window and other specifics. All we’ve got for now is a teaser and some promotional art.
  • I can’t help but feel a bit frustrated seeing JC Staff again after the Season 2 backlash. There’s a plea for them to step up and maintain quality for Season 3. Fingers crossed for an improvement this time around!

One Punch Man Season 2 came out all the way back in 2019. Season 3 was confirmed soon after that, but we had heard nothing about it ever since that initial announcement. And until recently, we didn’t even know who would work on it. I even did a whole article discussing the weird situation One Punch Man Season 3 was in. That was 2 weeks ago if I remember correctly. The collective heart of OPM fans sank when the manga’s illustrator revealed that his studio has nothing to do with OPM Season 3 as well.

Here we are though, finally back. Or are we? We’ll talk about that later. First, let’s just cover the news. There isn’t much but at this point, I will take every crumb I get about One Punch Man Season 3 after being starved for news for almost 4 years. Let’s just get started.

What do we know about One Punch Man Season 3?

Well, looks like Viz saw how much chaos the previously mentioned revelation caused. So they finally decided to reveal who was working on the anime. I will save my thoughts for later, I only want the news in this section. And who could it be other than JC Staff? It looks like most of the main staff will be returning to reprise their roles from Season 2, aside from a few new additions here and there. I think it’s fair to assume that it will be a similar case for the cast as well.

Other than the main cast and studio, we didn’t get much. No release window or anything like that. We got a new promotional art and finally a teaser though. Yeah, almost 4 years of wait and this is all we have for now. I am sure more details will be revealed soon though. You can check out the announcement teaser here, it is actually pretty good.

What Do I think?

Is it bad that I am mildly infuriated to see JC Staff working on Season 3? We all know how much backlash they got for Season 2, so why are we here again? If you have read the manga, you will know just how crazy things are in the upcoming arc(s). So how could a studio that couldn’t even handle Season 2 properly be trusted with maintaining the quality? I don’t want to sound negative but we all saw how Season 2 went.

Ok, fine. To be fair to JC Staff, they made Season 2 in a rush apparently. So let’s give them the benefit of the doubt here. The announcement teaser looks pretty good as well. I just hope that they maintain this animation quality throughout the season. OPM deserves better and I really want Season 3 to be treated right. JC Staff, this is your moment to reclaim your reputation and prove me and others like me wrong. Please do.

That is all for now!

Again, I apologize if I sounded overly negative there. Anyway, let me know what you guys think in the comments. I will take my leave here. I got a pretty big and lovely review to work on. See ya!
