Call of the Night was a pleasant surprise when it came out in 2022. Put simply, it is a story about a guy dealing with his insomnia and meeting a vampire on one of his late-night city walks. It might not sound like much but Call of the Night has to be one of the best character-driven stories I have experienced. The style and the presentation add so much to the feel of the show. On top of that, it had some amazing music. We didn’t hear about the sequel for a while there but finally, we have more info on Call of the Night Season 2 and it is coming out pretty soon.

So welcome back to another news article, today we are talking about Call of the Night Season 2. Now this is one sequel I had really been looking forward to. For a while there, I thought we wouldn’t get it. But here we are now. So let’s talk about it.
What do we know about Call of the Night Season 2?
First and foremost, Season 2 is scheduled for a Summer 2025 release. So it will start airing sometime in July 2025. The official website revealed a teaser promo and a key visual for Season 2 yesterday (14th March). Rina Satou will be joining the cast as the voice of Kiku Hoshimi. There are certain new additions to the staff but most of the major staff members from Season 1 will be returning to work on Seaosn 2. That includes the director, Tomoyuki Itamura who will once again be overseeing the anime at LIDENFILMS.

But yeah, that covers all the news for now. So let’s move on to
My Thoughts
Man, Season 2 has a lot to live up to. Season 1 set the bar pretty high if you ask me. The presentations, the camera angles, the shot framing, and of course, the music made Season 1 so unique. The content itself was great, there were so many good character moments in Season 1 but the unique presentation style made them hit that much harder. I really hope that they bring back Creepy Nuts to do the soundtracks for Season 2. We do know that the music composer of Season 1, Yoshiaki Dewa is returning for Season 2 so yeah, I hope they cook again.

Every song Creept Nuts did for this anime fit the tone so well. Because their songs are usually loud and edgy but they also have a softer side to them and that’s basically what Call of the Night is like. It seems like an edgy vampire show on the surface but it is a rather heartwarming character story.
Summer 2025 is shaping up to the quite the awesome season. Last year, it was the Fall season with almost all major releases but looks like it will be the Summer season in 2025.
That is all for now
