Cupid Parasite PC Release on Steam Set for September 22

Idea Factory International has announced that the otome visual novel Cupid Parasite will release for PC on Steam starting September 22. This launch marks Idea Factory’s first otome game release on the platform since 2018.

Originally, Cupid Parasite debuted on the Nintendo Switch in Japan back in August 2020. The English version arrived to the West via Idea Factory International in November 2021. Recently, the company also brought the fan disc, Cupid Parasite: Sweet & Spicy Darling, out on Switch in May 2024, after Otomate’s Japanese release in November 2023.

Fans who preorder the PC game from the IFI Online Store beginning in July will get a special bonus. The preorder comes with an exclusive trading card pack featuring the game’s love interests, adding a collectible element for fans of the visual novel.

Cupid Parasite puts players in the center of a romantic mystery with compelling characters and branching storylines typical of the otome genre. The PC release allows players to enjoy the game on a new platform, broadening access to fans who prefer gaming on their computers.

With this release, Idea Factory International revives its presence in the PC otome game market after a gap of several years. The company’s ongoing support for the Cupid Parasite series, including the fan disc, shows their commitment to expanding the franchise.

As the September 22 release date approaches, fans can look forward to experiencing new romantic adventures with Cupid Parasite on Steam. The preorder window starting in July offers a great chance to secure exclusive in-game collectibles and support the series.
