Eminence in Shadow Season 2 Should be Awesome!

Key points from The Eminence in Shadow Season 2 First Impressions:

  • The return of The Eminence in Shadow with Season 2 brings the much-anticipated vampire arc, with a well-explained reason for the chaos caused by the red moon.
  • The episode delves into Lawless City’s backstory, detailing the power dynamics and introducing information about the Vampire Queen. The plot content is substantial for a single episode.
  • The humor persists with the girls misinterpreting Shadow’s words, fangirling over him, and his unyielding dedication to being the ultimate edgelord. The episode balances action, humor, and plot development effectively.

Yes, it is finally here. Shadow-sama is finally back to grace us with his divine presence and I couldn’t be happier about it. This anime turned out to be an unexpected hit when it dropped earlier this year. Filliping every troupe in a common isekai on its head and making pure entertainment out of it. And now, The Eminence in Shadow is back with Season 2!

The tone of that opening paragraph alone should be enough to tell you just how excited I was for this anime and the first episode delivered. The first episode had everything and is one of the best first episodes from this season so far.

So welcome back to another one of my first impressions articles. Today it is finally time to talk about The Eminence in Shadow Season 2! Let’s start!

What do I think of The Eminence in Shadow Season 2 Episode 1?

The vampire arc is officially here. And I love how there was a proper explanation for why the red moon is causing the vampire pawns to go mad. In just this one episode, we got a quick backstory of the Lawless City and how the power balance in the city works. And we also got to know a bunch of details about the Vampire Queen herself. I have to say, the story content was pretty good for just a single episode.

The girls misinterpreting what Shadow said and their fangirling over him never gets old LOL. And my guy has no interest as always. He just wants to be the biggest edgelord possible. He even picks up a few dialogs he thought were cool from Mary. Also, he literally goes to the Lawless City alone for money. Yeah, he makes a bank from picking the pockets of pickpockets. And when things go down, he gets ready to prove to everyone just how much of an edgelord he is.

Great episode all around, some decent action, not a lot but still good enough, hilarious moments, Shadow being a complete Chuuni, and some decent plot. Basically, everything you could ask from an episode of this anime. The animations look awesome as always, and the new opening theme was pretty good too. While I personally still prefer the first opening theme, I think this one might grow on me down the line.

That is all for now!

As I said, this episode was a complete package and it was a lot of fun to watch. So in my opinion, a 9/10 for this episode is more than fair enough. That said, let me know what you guys think in the comments. I am very excited to see more of The Eminence in Shadow Season 2! With that said, I will take my leave here. Gonna go watch some WWE Fastlane. See ya!
