This has to be one of the best weeks of the year for anime so far. With the releases from this week, the Spring 2024 season is in full swing. And not only did we have some great new anime this week, but we also had some really good episode 2s from the animes that came out last week. Go Go Loser Ranger Episode 2 was just awesome but that is not all.

Mushoku Tensei Season 2 Part 2 Episode 2 was full of surprises, Wind Breaker and Whisper Me a Love Song caught me off-guard with how good they were, and That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 also had another awesome episode. I forgot Mushoku Tensei Season 2 Part 2 was coming out last week lol. But hey, I’ll make up for it this week.

So welcome back to another edition of “Best Episodes of the Week”. It is the 2nd week of the Spring 2024 season and things are only just getting started. So from Whisper Me a Love Song Episode 1 to Go Go Loser Ranger Episode 2, let’s talk about it all! Here are my favorite episodes from this week!

Wind Breaker Episode 1

I decided to watch this anime on a whim and I am glad I found this. I talked at length about why I liked this episode so much in a dedicated article so I’ll keep things short here. But basically, this episode did a fantastic job of introducing us to the MC’s character. It also laid the foundation for his upcoming character arc and the plot in general. It had everything that a first episode needs to be good. And premise itself could be very interesting as well. A school full of delinquents and a city that relies on them? Count me in, especially if the fights are going to be as good as this.

It also helps that the animations for this anime are top-notch. The fights were incredibly well-animated. The action was smooth as hell and I am also loving the art style and overall vibe of the series. So yeah, Wind Breaker Episode 1 was impressive and it got me hooked. I hope that the rest of the series delivers as well.

Whisper Me a Love Song Episode 1

Just like Wind Breaker, I talked about this episode at length in a dedicated article so I will keep things short here. I love the whole vibe of this episode. I didn’t even realize when the episode ended. Himari is a blast of energy and her interactions and ramblings throughout this episode were entertaining as hell to watch. Her “poor” choice of words gave rise to a misunderstanding that kicked the plot into motion.

Yori thought that Himari just confessed to her, not realizing Himari meant that as a fan. But Yori actually fell in love at first sight with Himari lol. And well, she got rightfully teased by her friends after that. Aside from Himari, the band members teasing Yori was also entertaining. Their personalities bounce off of each other well leading to some funny conversations but they still give good advice to Yori despite all the teasing. This anime is going to be a lot of fun to watch, I can already tell.

Mushoku Tensei Season 2 Part 2 Episode 2

I will not say much about this episode since it just came out. I will talk about it, I just won’t spoil the biggest reveal of the episode. Which, by the way, has been foreshadowed for a while now. So yeah, that reveal was pretty well done. Aside from that, man, I didn’t realize when this episode ended, it felt really short despite being the usual length. Goes on to show how engaging this episode was despite only being about Rudy and Sylphy’s wedding reception.

Before I get into anything else, Badigadi is such a bro lol. I did not think Rudy would invite someone like him but he did and the scenes with him were just pure gold. I like how much emphasis this episode puts on how much Ariel, Luke, and all care about Sylphy. Going as far as challenging Rudy to a duel to see if he is worthy of her or not. Ariel even warned Rudy that she would take Sylphy away if he didn’t take care of her properly. It was a character-driven episode and I enjoyed it a lot.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 Episode 2

Oddly enough, I don’t think we saw Rimuru or Tempest in general in this episode. This episode focused on the aftermath of Clayman’s defeat and the formation of Octagram on different countries/people. We spend a bit of time with Yuki and the clowns discussing Clayman’s death and the loss of their main base of operations. And well, what they plan on doing will become very apparent soon.

The rest of the episode was spent with Hinata. The episode kind of went out of its way to show how loyal Hinata is to Luminous Valentine. Again, this will come into play soon. We see how she found out the truth that the “god” her faith and city worship is a vampire and a demon lord, Luminous Valentine. We also learn where Hinata’s fierce loyalty to Luminous stems from. A pretty good episode overall, I know what is coming up but I am still excited to watch the upcoming episodes.

Go Go Loser Ranger Episode 2

I have one word for Go Go Loser Ranger Episode 2: awesome. I just noticed how menacing this anime can make the ranger suits look. And once again, the animations just blew me away. The action scenes in this episode were awesome. The red and blue dragon keepers looked menacing as hell when they went to talk to monsters, the lighting and the camera angles were awesome. The same holds for the end of the episode, the fire effects were really well done.

Animations aside, this episode had significant plot development as well. If you thought Suzukiri was sus in episode 1, oh boy, you ain’t seen nothing yet, She offers to team up with D to take down the dragon keepers from the inside. We haven’t yet seen what D has in mind but he has no reason to refuse her offer. We also got to learn a bit more about how things work in the ranger HQ and all. Amazing episode overall, it went above and beyond my expectations.

That is all for now!

Let me know what you guys think in the comments. This was an amazing week for us anime fans and at this rate, this season will also turn out to be really good. With that said though, I will take my leave here. I have to wake up early tomorrow and it is 2 AM here. See ya and good night!
