Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha S2, First Impressions!
This will be my last “First Impressions” article for thisΒ week. I’ll start off the next week with a bang. I wanted to do something good for this particular article and since I am saving NieR for next week, this is a good time to talk about this anime. Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha Season 2 is one of my personal most anticipated sequels and it is finally here.
So welcome back to another one of my “First Impressions” articles! Today let’s take a look at Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha Season 2! I just watched the first episode and I have to say, the first episode was better than I expected. Of course, all this opinion is based on the first and may change down the season. So let’s get started!
What do I Think of Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha Season 2 so far?
Well, the episode opened with a flashback to pre-war times. This season introduces us to the concept of “god” in that world. I won’t go into too much detail regarding what exactly happened because it is a spoiler-y topic. Find it out yourself cause it is actually pretty interesting. But you know, nothing can stand against the Demon King of course though.
The first episode was pretty wild for sure. I liked it a lot. It introduced us to the concept of a “God” living and using his power for weird stuff. We got a lot of world-building related to the “God” and a “Child of God”. The episode also sets up the whole arc by introducing us to the Children of God. And the episode also ends on a really good cliffhanger. So all in all, it was a pretty good episode for sure.
Anos’s VA changed but honestly, the difference is really hard to tell. The new VA sounds almost the same as the previous VA, there are slight differences in quality but it is pretty much the same for the most part. I hope the series keeps up with the standard of this first episode though. Because the first episode was really content-packed and I hope that the rest of the season can keep this level of interest as well. I look forward to seeing episode 2, especially after seeing how episode 1 ended.
Conclusion
Purely based on the first episode, Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha Season 2 gets a solid 8/10 from me. Of course, this is purely for the first episode and my views on the series may change down the season depending on how the plot goes. Although I am pretty sure I will enjoy this season regardless of what final rating I decide to give it.
