Classroom of the Elite Season 3 Episode 5 was Awesome!

Key points for Classroom of the Elite Season 3 Episode 5/Mid-Season Review:

  • Watching Episode 5 of Classroom of the Elite Season 3 was a revelation. I was amazed by Ayanokoji’s intricate planning, showcasing his strategic prowess as he played a key role in some important stuff to achieve his goals.
  • Throughout this season, the plot kept me hooked with its unexpected twists and a captivating storyline. The recent episodes, especially Episode 5, added depth to the narrative, making it even more engaging.
  • While I appreciate the overall plot, there’s a recurring concern about the anime adaptation not fully capturing Ayanokoji’s depth. The absence of his inner monologues leaves something to be desired. Despite this, I’d rate Classroom of the Elite Season 3 an 8/10, with Episode 5 earning a perfect 10/10 from me.

Classroom of the Elite Season 3 has been one of my favorites from this season. The anime started off well, and every episode has been fun. But the past few episodes really hit different. And even among those episodes, this week’s episode was just amazing. Classroom of the Elite Season 3 Episode 5 showed us that side of Ayanokoji we haven’t seen for a while. We knew he was planning something, but the episode’s ending really showcased how far ahead he was thinking.

So each, needless to say, spoiler for episode 5 ahead. It was a pretty big reveal and I don’t want to spoil it for people who haven’t watched the episode yet. So you have been warned. Either way, this will be my first mid-season review for this season. So welcome, and today we are talking about Classroom of the Elite Season 3 Episode 5 and the season overall till now. So let’s just get right into it.

What do I think of Classroom of the Elite Season 3 Episode 5 and Season 3 overall so far?

As I mentioned, the past few episodes had been amazing by themselves. Episode 4 had a great climax. It did a great job of making us think that Class A or Sakayanagi, in particular, was responsible for all the rumors spread. And as we find out in episode 5, well, that definitely wasn’t the case. In the climax of episode 4 and throughout episode 5, we find out that rumors related to the personal lives of all the students of all sections were spread. It started with Ichinose, of course. But in her case, the rumors were actually true and Sakayangi spread them on purpose.

At the end of episode 5 though, we find out that the rest of the Rumors were spread by Ayanokoji himself. He used Kushda for it and literally throughout the whole matter with Sakaynagi, Ichinose, and the rest, he only wanted to verify the quality and quantity of the information Kushida has. And in the process, he also managed to save the integrity of Class B by helping Ichinose. What? I don’t think Sakaynagi realizes how far ahead Ayanokoji was. He wasn’t even thinking of stopping her. No, that was like a side quest to him.

So yeah, the plot for Season 3 has been amazing. Ayanokoji was on fire in episode 5. I do hate the fact that the anime adaptation is choosing him to portray him as an edgelord. Don’t get me wrong, he is an edgelord in the LN as well but since we know his thoughts, his character has a lot more depth. In the anime, we don’t get to hear his monolog often. That kind of spoils his character a little. This has been my complaint from Season 1. But for now, that is my only complaint with Season 3 so far.

That is all for now!

Classroom of the Elite Season 3 gets an easy 8/10 from me as of now. Classroom of the Elite Season 3 Episode 5 in particular though, gets an easy 10/10. It was an amazing episode. Let me know what you guys think in the comments. I will take my leave here. See ya!
