Spring 2025 For Anime Looks...

The season doesn’t seem particularly strong or weak, just average, especially compared to the packed Summer 2025 lineup.

I don’t like jumping on things before they’re even out and screaming that “this is mid” but that’s how I honestly feel about the upcoming Spring 2025 Anime Season. I don’t think it will be bad, let’s clarify that first and foremost. People have this weird misconception that “mid” means bad. It does not. Mid means middle of the road, not too good but not too terrible. And that’s exactly what Spring 2025 feels like especially compared to the Summer 2025 season.

And no, I am not saying that every season needs to be Fall 2024 levels of crazy. That is unrealistic. All I mean is that just like the current session, Spring 2025 looks like another quieter season. And that’s fine, it just means less content for me to make lol. But jokes aside, let’s talk about a few shows I look forward to in Spring 2025.

What Spring 2025 Anime I am excited about?

Well let’s start with the obvious ones:

Aharen-san Season 2 is bound to be another season filled with crazy shenanigans, some brand-new meme material, and some surprisingly heartfelt moments. I recently rewatched Season 1 and yeah, enjoyed it a lot. Can’t wait to see Reina and Raido back again.
Lazarus is an original anime by Mappa. It is a sci-fi action thriller and will be directed by the same guy who directed Cowboy Bebop. I don’t know how the show will turn out to be but that premise alone has me excited. I expect a lot from this show lol.
Wind Breaker Season 2 will be another banger for sure. Season 1 had no right to be as good as it was. Season 1 delivered some amazing character work, great fights, and a rather compelling story. I hope Season 2 goes just as hard as Season 1 did, if not harder because this show has so much promise.

Some other stuff I think will be fun

I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 100 Years Season 2 took its time after Season 1 came out in 2021 but I am glad it is here. Just a fun and wholesome show about Azusa and her ever-growing family.
Ranger Reject Season 2 has a lot riding on because of how rushed Season 1 was towards the end. The anime adaptation rushed through the manga to get to a certain important plot hook in volume 3/4 of the manga and Season 2 should have that. I hope it was worth rushing through so much important content to get here.
I know nothing about Can a Boy and Girl Friendship Hold Up? (No, It Can’t!!) but I have to say, its premise looks fun. I am a sucker for romance animes as is and I think this anime could be really good if that plot is done some justice. So hey, it may turn out very well, who knows??
Black Butler is returning in the Spring 2025 anime season as well with the Emerald Witch arc. Again, I don’t know much about that arc at all. I’ll have to catch up on so much of Black Butler content before I can even think of watching this lol. I’ll pick it back up as soon as some time opens up.

So a bit of a different article today. But those were all the shows I look forward to watching in the Spring 2025 anime season. I don’t think I will watch anything outside of this list but I am open to suggestions. MHA Vigilantes anime is also coming out in the Spring season but I have completely lost my interest in the series after the ending so I doubt I will even bother watching it.
